The Dean’s Office is the part of Grace Hopper College that handles course enrollment, graduation requirements, and any other matters related to the Yale College Academic Regulations. It is also the place where you can find out about tutoring resources and other systems of academic and personal support on campus.
The dean is the residential college’s chief academic adviser. In this capacity, the dean gets to know students on an individual basis. A student can request a meeting with the dean to discuss course selection, choice of major, the decision to study abroad, post-graduate plans, and other related topics. Aside from advising on academic matters, the dean is available to talk with students about concerns that are more personal in nature.
